captured ground, placed by terrain

A few square metres of real ground, captured as Gaussian splats, laid over kilometres of terrain as seamless Wang tiles. What is new: which material goes where is computed from the shape of the land (drainage, slope, position, height) instead of being painted by hand. It runs here, in the browser, on a laptop GPU.

Best on a computer: on a phone it runs, slowly, at reduced resolution.
